Informazioni personali

bebex: My name is Beatrice Presen. I am an actress and artist of paper dolls. I am inspired by the paper dolls I used to play with as a girl before today's plastic toys and technologies arrived. What started as a hobby quickly became work after my first creations were immediately successful, and so I began taking my work to various arts markets in and around Rome. My work comprises: Period dolls, paper fairytales (dolls made from paper and card which represent the characters from the story), Shakespeare's box (compositions in card which reproduce the plays of Shakespeare). All my work is made by hand without the use of patterns or models and so every piece I make is unique, fruit of my imagination. As the imagination is without limit, who knows what the future will bring.
