Bob Smith, husband of Peggy Smith, is in front of his wardrobe, he can't think what to wear! What a Family!
THE MEDUSA- Berlusconi the man who turns you to stone! (VIDEO)
The work is part of a diptych entitled "Medusa - Berlusconi The Man Who Turns You To Stone." The idea and the work in paper where realized by Beatrice Presen and the video animation by Giles Smith.
The whole work, comprising paper and video, is inspired by the works of Warhol of Marilyn Monroe, comically transfering the sense by comparing (false)myths from yesterday and today.
If the objective of the piece is to force a laugh - for which its authors hope not to suffer consequences for its publication - a serious question spontaneously springs to mind: Who would turn more in their graves upon being compared to Silvio Berlusconi? Marylin or Medusa? Or: Who would turn more in their graves upon having their work interpreted satirically? Caravaggio or Warhol? The future will judge!
